I completed a National Diploma in Photography in 1999, where after I traveled abroad for some time and finished my B-Tech Degree in 2003 with Cum Laude. During my studies I won the AGFA-Award for Best Portfolio and the EPSAC Annual Exhibition for Best on Show.
Since then I have been part of numerous group-exhibitions in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg, including the Sasol New Signatures Exhibition in Pretoria. My Debut-show was held at Dirt Contemporary in Cape Town as part of a residency programme. More of my work has been featured in publications such as De Kat, Itch and One Small Seed. I am currently living and working in Cape Town, teaching photography at Ruth Prowse School of Art, running my own Photography School while working on various personal projects. (C.V. on request)

Photography used as an expression of different seasons I experience in life has always been one of my greatest passions. It usually happens through a build-up of emotions, thoughts & encounters over a period of time, which suddenly needs a visual outlet. I intend to create thought provoking images which allows your imagination to create its own narrative. It can be quite an overwhelming process in the way the images start evolving and almost communicating by themselves. I believe that their very power lies in the process: a heartfelt & vulnerable execution.

Besides creating a reflection of myself through photography, one of my main goals is also to have fun. When all the emotions connected to the photographic process becomes too intense, I escape through writing really silly poems, drawing unidentifiable things with my favourite pen, photographing self-portraits and reading the Little Prince over and over again.
